Quick answer: Affordable here means a fixed scope. Starter is £150 for up to three pages. Business is £295 for up to six. Growth is £495 for up to twelve, which is also where a small shop or a booking flow usually sits. The first year of domain, hosting and SSL is included in each.

Cheap web design searches in Maidstone often land on prices that leave out the domain, the wording, or the right to leave. A low headline is not useful if the second invoice is the real one. These three figures are the ones we publish, and the page count is the limit.

Three published prices

Starter, £150, is a brochure: enough to explain one offer and collect an enquiry. Business, £295, is for a firm that needs separate service pages and a clearer path from the first visit to a call. Growth, £495, is the larger build.

None of these is a monthly plan. You are not signing a retainer to keep the site online. If you later want someone to update plugins, take backups and check the form, that is website care, scoped on its own.

The illustration with this article shows blank cards. It is an example of planning pages, not a screenshot of a customer’s website, and it should not be read as one.

What the fee includes

Design, build, a mobile layout, a contact route, testing and launch sit inside the package you choose. So does the first year of the domain, hosting and the certificate that keeps the browser from warning visitors.

On-page basics are part of the build: a title that matches the page, a single main heading, and the same business details in the footer. That is not a promise that you will outrank every other Maidstone firm. Rankings depend on more than the page we hand over.

You approve the structure before the visual work runs away. Discovery, structure, build, launch. If the scope changes, the fee is discussed before the extra pages exist, not after.

What is quoted separately

A large catalogue, a booking tool with payments and staff diaries, or a move from an old shop with hundreds of products is outside a three-page brochure. Growth covers many of those smaller cases. If it does not, you get a quote rather than a surprise.

Copywriting can be you or us. If you write it, we edit for clarity. If you want us to draft it, say so at the start so it is in the scope. Leaving the words until the night before launch is the usual reason a few weeks becomes longer.

Ongoing SEO retainers are not bundled into £150. Local search help that belongs on the page is part of building the page. A campaign after launch is a different agreement. The local SEO page describes that work without promising a position.

Why a lower number can cost more

A site you do not control is not cheap. If the domain is registered to the designer and the hosting password is withheld, the next change becomes a negotiation. We put the domain in your name and hand over the logins.

A site full of fake reviews is not cheap either. Taking them down later, or being asked about a person who does not exist, costs more than leaving the testimonial block empty.

Template subscriptions that look like £10 a month often exclude the form, the move of your old addresses, and any page that is not in the demo. Ask what happens in month thirteen. Our year two is about £60 to the providers, not a new design fee.

How to choose a package

Choose Starter if a stranger needs only the offer, the area and a way to reply. Choose Business if you are already explaining three services in every quote. Choose Growth if you are selling online or taking bookings as part of the same project.

A small site is often ready in a few weeks. Say if you have a hard date, such as the end of a lease or a season in Bearsted, and we will tell you whether the words can be ready in time.

Compare the detail on web design or ask which package fits. Bring the page list you think you need. We would rather remove pages than invent them.
